As part of Safe Work Australia Week 2008 (19 - 25 October), New Town optometrist, Beverley Reid is calling on employees and employers to improve eye safety in the workplace.

“Sixty per cent of all eye injuries happen in the workplace, so it’s imperative that employers and employees work together to ensure eye safety procedures are in place to prevent accidents,” says Beverley.

East Timor Eye Program

Total Eyecare Optometrist, Andrew Koch, has just returned from volunteering in the September 2008 PVOT East Timor Optometry Outreach program. He was working in the southern district of Suai, providing secondary eyecare expertise and supporting and mentoring the newly trained Eyecare Nurse, Bernardino.

The new look New Norfolk!

The New Norfolk practice has had a complete face lift, with an all new display area, reception and waiting area. A pre-consultation room has also been put in for fields and digital retinal photos.
